headspeakerThere are two particles for asking questions in Chinese - 呢 and 吗.
headspeaker呢 is used for turning statements into queries. For example:
headspeaker你几岁呢how old are you？​你在哪里呢where are you？
headspeaker吗 is used for turning statements into yes or no questions. For example:
headspeaker你可以听到我吗can you hear me？​你看得到吗can you see？
